Yesterday, Kristaps Eisters, a board member of DG Terminal (a fuel storage and logistics company), proudly presented the educational board game “Earth Hour” to Arta Krūma, deputy head of the Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Secondary School of Liepāja.

DG Terminal actively participates in sustainability initiatives, implementing greener and more environmentally friendly practices in its daily operations. The company works on improving energy efficiency, diversifying resources, and reducing energy dependence. DG Terminal is a company based in Liepāja that specializes in the storage, transportation, and transshipment of petroleum and chemical products.

DG Terminal is one of the co-financers of the game “Earth Hour, and with their support, the Science and Innovation Park foundation organized the game for students of the Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Secondary School of Liepāja.

Arta Krūma, deputy head of the school, emphasized that this gift will be very valuable. The school has introduced a tradition of playing board games during breaks, and special areas have been created where students can spend their free time in an educational and friendly way.

The game Earth Hour was created with partners of the “Green Ethics” project from various European countries. It combines interactive and artistic elements to promote a sustainable lifestyle and critical thinking among young people.

Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Secondary School is highly engaged in climate and environmental initiatives. The school actively promotes the study of geography in the region and regularly hosts competitions and other educational events.

Starting today, the “Earth Hour” game is also available to the students of the Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Secondary School of Liepāja!
